I prefer the 1.23 like UI that is why I use Singularity. In the past I was using Imprudence, but they stop development
Drop down could be useful
About inventory Update Outfit , if there is a shortcut to 'New Window' then the risk of missing the right entry decreases..
Of course it's your project and you do as you want. I only wrote my opinion as suggestions, I could also check out and compile my way

There actually is a slightly better way to new window in singularity, right click on any folder and you can open it in a new window, of course, that's not a brand new inventory window, but people tell me it helps organize better.
I was thinking I should probably move the Update outfit entry, though, I'm not certain where to.

I use to open in new window feature a lot and I like it very much.
The regular new window I use more when I need to search for specific term to move things from one window to the other.. It's true that I may try to 'open in new window' by right clicking the 'My Inventory' root entry ( I didn't try it yet. Oh yes, it works too!).
One thing that I don't like on the mini window is that I can't create a folder on that particular level. Only in a subfolder its possible and then I have to move it outside.

I don't know where to relocate Update outfit entry neither. But thinking a bit more on the developer's saving time it might be easier to make a prompt to the user with name of the current outfit with all text selected. Then the user can cancel, rename or confirm
Tc!

Yeah, that annoys me too, I'm going to look into it at some point.

That's actually more work, this update function is built into the appearance manager at a lower level.
